Bhutan is a small kingdom in the Himalaya mountains. Isolated from the world for centuries, it has preserved its timeless traditions, culture and Buddhist ethics. Its considerate leadership and sustainable resource use anchored  in the concept of the Gross National Happiness makes Bhutan
a beacon of hope for the humanity.

The mission of The Karma Project Bhutan®, a registered non-profit, is to advance humanity through acts of kindness and compassion that support Bhutanese monasteries, as important centres of wisdom and spiritual inspiration serving the wide community of followers. This project enables our supporters to benefit from the prayers and ancient rituals performed by the Buddhist monks. Our work is based on the universal principle of the cause and effect. We truly believe that the ultimate desire of all human beings, regardless of time and space, is to be happy and that happiness derives primarily from a worthwhile and meaningful life. Our mission is to advance kindness, care and happiness - and after all: HUMANITY.

Give what you would want to receive.
That is the principle of karma.

Meet The Karma Project Bhutan team members

"Compassion is not an inert thought or a wish. It is a call to action. Compassion helps us to see others as our loving spiritual brothers and sisters. Hoisting of a prayer flag or the lighting of butter lamps accompanied by prayers has a special significance in the rituals performed by the Buddhist monks and practioners in Bhutan. "
